All you need to know

The event will be held in my small southern hometown Tiznit from the 1st of April to the 4th. The city’s youth is in fact attracted by arts, but the art forms they happen to choose are the same: singing and theater. These two art forms are of course great. However, not the only forms of expressions that could be used to free one’s mind and heart. The salon in its seventh edition is an attempt to gather as many art forms as possible: poetry, photography, video arts, graffiti, music… for our youth and children to be exposed to a variety of art forms that would give their souls more suitable ways of expression. It is true everyone has internet now, but internet and especially Facebook only gives us the impression to see the world while it only shows us what our network composed of our contacts in real life share. And even when something new is shared, it seems too difficult to be done, but to see it being performed and have a chat with the artist gives another perspective. In this edition we are also facilitating five workshops: Writing workshop, art role in conflict resolution workshop, a debate and exchange about social norms, storytelling workshop, and a painting workshop (Graffiti). These five workshops will be facilitated the following day of the classic version of the salon which is a gathering of various art performances.
